LAKE BARRINGTON

Public BBQ

This campground offers a spacious and scenic setting, although the lake isn't directly visible from the camping spots. A short walk leads to a boat ramp, providing a full view of the lake. The site is equipped with toilets and BBQ pits. While the toilets sometimes lack cleanliness, especially after busy periods, the overall site is generally well-kept. The campground is surrounded by a forest, offering a peaceful escape from urban areas. It's important to be prepared for cold nights, as temperatures can drop. The area is fairly quiet, although there have been occasional disturbances from local activity. The campground provides easy lake access, and despite some areas being not very flat, it remains a great spot for a camping experience close to nature.

Generally, it is permissible to utilize your own gas BBQ, provided it remains under continuous supervision. However, the usage of Charcoal BBQ's is typically restricted, with the exception of parks equipped with designated charcoal disposal bins.
